Grandmother Elspeth- Few of our cultural elders in America ever reach the status of “Living Legend” but 85 year old Grandmother Elspeth, "the Crone on the Road," may just be one.. Her reputation for honest advice and earth-based “mountain wisdom” draw people to gather in her teaching circles.
Author of the poem, “The Challenge,” and creator of the spoken word CD sets “Out of the Forest,” and "Gylantra's Legacy," Elspeth Odbert has been conducting workshops on spiritual growth and enrichment since 1991. She is a inspirational teacher and storyteller. leading her listeners on an eco-spiritual path of personal and planetary transformation. She is a Certified Shamanic Practitioner and a Master Gardener.
With the able assistance of Nybor, Elspeth has created a storybook, "Gylantra's Journey." This fully illustrated "fable for a possible future" presents their dream of what can be. Another place where Nybor and Elspeth (and John) are working together is "GreenSong," a non-profit organization working toward sustainability and preparedness.
When she is not on the road Elspeth is at home in West Virginia with Nybor and two fur persons, Maggie and Max.
