Pagan Picnic is about connection and education. The St. Louis Pagan Picnic emerged in the early 1990’s to answer a need for connection between individual Pagans seeking deeper community, and a desire to offer education about Paganism to the public in hopes of increasing understanding and promoting harmony.
Community Connection
o Between individuals and groups in the Pagan Community
o Between people seeking spiritual answers that might be found in a Pagan path
o Between the Pagan Community and the many communities – spiritual, social, commercial, governmental, and religious - of the greater St. Louis region
Education
o About Paganism – a diverse grouping of spiritual paths, traditions and religions
o About specific Pagan spiritual paths, traditions and religions
o About practices and celebrations common to Pagan paths
o About how Paganism is another of the vibrant and diverse expressions of spirituality and religious faith that bless the entire St. Louis region.
The St. Louis Pagan Picnic is a grass roots volunteer effort that has grown from a little picnic in the park among a few dozen Pagan friends to a two day festival of music, celebration, commerce, education and connection welcoming over 4000 participants. We welcome all to celebrate, learn and connect with the many Pagan paths and Pagan people as part of the growing diversity of our St. Louis region.
Statement of Diversity and Inclusion:
The St. Louis Pagan Picnic is committed to maintaining a welcoming and safe space for all attendees. Our festival will never tolerate discrimination or harassment of an attendee based on race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, or physical ability. The Pagan community is a rich diverse tapestry of cultures and life experiences. We celebrate this diversity as a core principle of our mission.
